Following a long heritage of professional portable recorders, the PMD650 includes many of the original design concepts which have established Marantz Professional as a world leader in the field. Maximum security towards the valuable material that will be recorded with this recorder has been the drive in development of the product. Security aspects include a 20 seconds buffer memory providing shock-resistant recording, a running TOC feature to secure the Table Of Contents continuously while recording and dual level mono recording to secure a back-up on the 2nd channel in case of a signal overload on the main channel.
