Digital Mixers
Tascam DM24
Representing a quantum leap in the design of powerful, affordable small-format digital recording consoles, the DM-24 features fully 24/96 digital audio quality, highly flexible routing, powerful built-in automation and high-quality effects, dynamics processing and parametric EQ.
The DM-24's 24-bit digital converters and up to 96kHz sampling rates offer extremely high-quality mixing for a variety of applications, including mixing for standard CD or more advanced applications or even for live work.
Full transport control, LED ring encoders, hierarchical grouping and smooth 100mm motorized faders make the DM-24 an excellent console for serious studio applications.
The DM-24 also provides powerful on-board automation capability. Up to eight entire mixes can be stored in the internal memory and, once a new mix is opened, the DM-24 automatically goes into automation mode so that any static changes made are instantly saved and dynamic moves are written with only one key press. In addition, users can offload all automation data via MIDI.
The standard interfaces include 16 analogue inputs with XLR mic, 1/4-inch line inputs, and analog inserts, 24 channels of TDIF and eight channels of ADAT optical I/O, one stereo AES/EBU and two stereo S/PDIF interfaces. Two option slots are also provided for additional 8-channel analogue, digital and cascade interface modules.
The DM-24 also features four 1/4-inch jack inserts that can be assigned to any digital recorder return, as well as detailed capabilities of routing audio internally throughout the mixer. Extensive outputs and monitoring choices are also provided.
TASCAM, TC Electronic and Antares high-quality reverb, mic modeling and speaker modeling are included. Highly configurable gates, fully parametric 4-band EQs and compression are available on each of the 24 input. The DM-24 also provides eight auxiliary channels for effects returns and other needs. Each channel also features a custom-designed delay with an innovative circuit design that compensates for fixed latencies within a digital studio.
