Broadcast Silence Detector

Dead air costs your station credibility and revenue. You need a programme source that hold your listeners and revenue when your station is runnings unattended, and your normal source fails. Banish those prolonged periods of dead air due to equipment or operational failure. This unit can interface with most low cost domestic CD players, DAT machines, Hi-Fi, or solenoid / servo controlled cassette decks.

Interfacing domestic equipment to professional systems has often caused problems. Do you really need the overheads of transformer balanced inputs and outputs? Do you really need an equal number of input and output channels when balancing off air tuners?

Here is the answer: The Gemtek PRODOM has flexible modular design and construction. You can mix and match any sequence of balanced to unbalanced, or unbalanced to balanced modules with any mixture of electronically balanced or transformer balanced XLR connections. Extra modules can be simply fitted if you need to expand a partially equipped system. Input and output levels can be adjusted via multi-turn presets accessible from the rear panel.
