Churches

No matter what the church, it is essential that the spoken word is heard clearly. More often than not this is achieved by using a public address system although the acoustics of some buildings mean that this is not necessary. The current government legislation on public buildings and hearing aid users, (the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 [overview]) means that all this may change. Public buildings (including churches) need to install an inductive loop system by October 2004. The reality of this statement is that churches without any PA system are being forced into installing half a PA system. For an inductive loop system to work you need microphones and cabling. To get a PA system just add an amp and speakers. Talk to our install team (install@cunnings.co.uk) for more information and check out these pages.

Why not add a Radio Mic to an existing system. Give the minister extra freedom with a lavelier unit or utilise a handheld unit for those last minute items without the need for a wire.

Replace the big bulky reading or lectern mic with an Audio-Technica Pro49 slimline gooseneck. The size of a pencil it no longer obscures the person reading and is less off putting.

Need to record your service or replace your tired cassette deck? Why not consider the Tascam CDA-500 combined CD and autoreverse cassette deck, it takes up half the space of seperate units but doesn't cost twice the price. For even better quality why not consider it's bigger brother, the CC-222. This features a CD-RW recorder as well as the cassette deck for recording direct to CD. There are also stand alone CD recorders to expand an existing system.

Duplicate cassette or CD recordings of your services in record time. 16x speed cassette duplicators from Sony, Graff or Telex and CD duplicators from Tascam, Graff and others can provide high quality copies of your service even before the congregation has time to leave. Regular maintenance and servicing will mean that your copies will continue to sound as good as the master year after year.

New on the scene in the TT24 Digital mixer from Mackie. Designed specifically for live use this is an ideal mixer for larger churches especially where the system is used for many different events during the week. Featuring instant recall of any setting it allows the mixer to be setup differently for each event which takes place - and a simple press of a button resets it for use on a Sunday.
